What is Effective Leadership?
The Leadership Forum focuses on these ten leadership competencies. Participants determine their strengths and weaknesses and develop goals. These are used as questions for optional 360 feedback.

Effective leaders develop and/or implement the vision, mission and goals of their organization/team.
Effective leaders continually pursue professional development opportunities for themselves and others.
Effective leaders are aware of and effectively manage emotions with themselves and others.
Effective leaders create an atmosphere of trust where others feel comfortable discussing challenging issues.
Effective leaders are skilled at verbal and non-verbal communication and listening.
Effective leaders build productive relationships with others from diverse backgrounds, regardless of role or position.
Effective leaders are comfortable and skilled with managing conflict situations.
Coaching and Feedback
Effective leaders are receptive to constructive feedback, and willingly offer it to others to help them achieve higher levels of performance.
Innovation and Empowerment
Effective leaders continually pursue opportunities for continuous improvement and engage others in problem solving and decision making.
Effective leaders are able to build and engage groups and teams, encouraging balanced participation and constructive discussion.
